Reason #125 – My neighbours feed my son breakfast
Dec 13I think it’s pretty clear by now C adores our neighbours, who are Ms Lilly’s sister, brother and mother. Sweetness just runs in that family.
This morning, like many other mornings, C woke at 6 am in a glowing mood. I fetched him from his prison crib, changed him out of his wet jammies and played with him a while, but soon he started pointing at the door going “ngeh! ngeh!”
I know just what he wants.
I quickly put socks and wellies on him and let him drag me first to the bedroom door, then the front door, then the neighbour’s house, where he was greeted by a chorus of “Look who’s here!” “The Blessed One!” “Don’t you look cute in that hoodie?”
Then they turned to me, the Blessed Child’s vassal vessel: “We’ll give him bread. Get on with your things.”
And so I find myself here, slowly enjoying a delicious cup of coffee in a perfectly silent house, while the neighbours feed my child breakfast.
This is the life.
Oh I am sooo moving to your neighbourhood!

Enjoy your neighbours as much as you can, they are (by the looks of it) worth their weight in gold! – que envidia~

I will miss them to bits. But I already met some of my future neighbours, and they look really nice too! :)

:-) You might want to save your beach trips for my old home, Southern California; the beaches here are COLD. But you and the Blessed Child are welcome in my neck of the woods any time. I’m sorry that you have to leave your support network, but I hope this will be a really happy transition for you!

I’m destroyed about leaving Ms lilly and Adi, but I love moving to new places and making new friends. We’ll be sterling!
And in that case expect us bearing a cake and big appetites! ;)

Anyone notice the gratuitous shot of the engagement ring in this picture of C? Perhaps a post titled “I even brage about how awesome my fiancee is in pictures of my son” is in our future. :)
BTW – totally jealous here. The ring looks gorgeous even from the side shot. :)
Although now that I wrote all this I’m wondering if those are even your hands. Perhaps you have so many helpers you don’t even have to hold your own kid for pictures. LOL!

Heehee, that is not my engagement ring, it’s a heirloom from my grandma. You can see it better in this reason.
My huge engagement ring, with its microscopic diamond (which is JUST the way I wanted) is on the article about how much of a slut I am. Woops.
And yes, it is nothing short of a miracle that I was the one holding C! I have to fight Ms Lilly and Adi tooth and claw for a chance to touch him! XD

Isn’t it great? My mom and I shared care of the Munchkins when they were little, and it was so great to have some times when I could just be All. By. My. Self.
