Dec 22Today I was excitedly showing my sister and her boyfriend the photos from our family photo shoot (“family” meaning 98% photos of C and 2% photos of C with one of us.) There are some fantastic photos from that session. Really really lovely ones.
While we were ooh-ing and aah-ing at the slideshow, I kept feeling a strange tugging on my leg. I didn’t quite realize what it was till we were in the middle of another chorus of “Omigod C looks SO CUTE in that one!” and my mother yelled “Well, bloody look at him! He’s behind you!”
It was a perfect panto moment.
And so I had to admit, once and for all: Yes, I do prefer the photos to the real boy most of the time.

And don’t get me started on what he smells or sounds like. Ew.
Of course I prefer the pics!
I never said I was a good mom.
But you will at least agree that I made one darn photogenic boy!

Love that crib shot! And seriously, in her pics I can erase all the snot and food off her face. And I *never* catch her picking her nose on film *gag*

15 second exposure. Priceless. I’ll take pics more often when he’s tantrumming, I’ll have a nice collection to exhibit when he starts bringing girlfriends home!

He is adorable! And I prefer to look at the pics of my kids as well…they don’t smell bad or yell back at me or even at each other! Just two perfect little angels smiling! Like when they sleep : )

I don’t even get to reading your post before I chuckle out loud..every single time!! Completely understand where you are coming from they look like priceless little angels in pictures…in real life there is usually a little more going on and we don’t get the chance to enjoy their little faces as much!
