Reason #23 – I’ll stop at nothing to have a night out
Reason #23 – I’ll stop at nothing to have a night out
Jun 12“It was a dark and stormy night, and that woman came out at 9pm dragging that poor child along! Some women just won’t stay at home for anything, I think she’s not even married, enough said. Thank goodness I had Child Services on speed dial, they knew immediately who I was talking about. I hope they find a good family for that poor boy, he does not deserve that life.”
That’s what the neighbours will say tomorrow, because they will see me go out in a while all done-up and carrying a huge bundle of blankets in the rough shape of an 8-month old boy.
Yes it’s raining. A lot. But egad it’s Saturday night and mama deserves some grown-up conversation along with a slice of good pizza and a glass of good red! (What? The one I’m drinking right now totally doesn’t count!)
Will anyone post my bail if they lock me up?

it took 17 months til I got to go out again with out baby in tow. I pay my sitter double what daycare charges for the same number of hours. (saturday nights are more important than the few days I actually am needed outside the house for work) my daughter also doesn’t get sick every time the sitter comes over. (unlike daycare, which she has brought home an ear infection, a head cold, and an upper respiratory infection. 2 out of 3 of those she gave to me)

Really? I much prefer C in daycare, where he will hopefully learn to share and interact and all that fun stuff. But I agree that even a babysitter is better than having them all to yourself.
I’ll never know how “real” moms do it!

*Everyone* needs a night out! You’re not taking him to a strip club or a hookah bar, so I think you’re safe.
And it depends on the red you were drinking…hehe. :)

Hey, I got your back (although its going to be a no-go on the bail– no cash right now!) But squeeze in all the going-out now; when my son was about nine months he pretty much put himself on a schedule of going to bed at 7 pm and not sleeping anywhere but his crib. Now I have to bring the parties to my house!

Really? Mine just hit 8 months and he’s a party animal like his mom – he’ll stay up until the party is over (just like his mom) and he’ll sleep anywhere the night catches him (just like his mom!)
